Directed by Paul Halley Sacred Feast Discrete Surround |
"Sacred Feast" was recorded at Trinity College Chapel in Hartford, CT on May 23-25, 1998 by Tom Jung and Tom Bates. A modified for surround sound Decca Tree set up provided by Wes Dooloey of AEA was used to capture the chorus and the wonderful acoustic of the Chapel. This DTS version requires the use of a DTS decoder. "The sound of a DMP recording made by Tom Jung - of unaccompanied choral music recorded and mixed in DSD - was breathtaking. I felt an exquisite sense of space. It was definitely the best sound at the CES" John Atkinson, Stereophile, May 1999. "Sony's Super Audio CD (SACD) version of the Paul Halley Choir singing 'Ubi Caritas' courtesy of DMP turned out to be the finest recording of a choir I’ve heard at any show." - Larry Greenhill. Strereophile, May 1999. "With all due respect to the talented producers, engineers and mixers who are blazing trails in the realm of multi-channel music, Tom Jung - a veteran producer, world-renowned engineer, and head of the Stamford, Connecticut based DMP label - is the only one who really gets it" - Paul Verna.
