Baroque NOUVEAU

RR-118 CD

A Superb performances by soloists from the new and exciting period-instrument ensemble Baroque Nouveau.   All of these superb musicians perform with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and other specialist groups.   This repertoire is a collection of Rameau's most appealing, tuneful compositions with improvisational embellishments galore!

Recorded in June 2008 at famed Skywalker Sound with Reference Recording's legendary sonics.   The program features infectious, melodic music by a giant of the French Baroque, presenting vital, authentic performances by four outstanding original-instrument specialists.

Charles Sherman is recognized as one of the leading harpsichord soloists and continuo players in the country, called a “fluent virtuoso” by the Los Angeles Times.

The master tapes were recorded at 176.4 kHz, 24 bits and prepared for CD release with HDCD technology.
