The Erik Westberg Vocal Ensemble
This is a Christmas album, but with a difference!
On purpose, this disc is not labelled as "Christmas," but it is of course associated with Christmas in the way it looks and in a lot of songs included. The idea here is that it should not be "locked up" and only played during Christmas time! The basic idea was to make a classical Christmas album, not just with all the usual Christmas songs that people expect, but with songs that are more or less associated with Christmas when it comes to
feeling and timbre! At the same time we wanted to make a Christmas album that is easy to listen to for most people, but also with some extra spices and not just with a´capella vocals. We are glad to also have a couple of our other great Opus 3 musicians on this album: Mattias Wager on organ, two of the members of Global Percussion Network, a couple of special vocal soloists, and one of Sweden's best key fiddle players! This is of course an international album containing four English songs and one German classic.
