CD 19520 Multichannel Super Audio CD
A selection from Test-records 1, 2 & 3
Test & Demonstration Disc
This recording was originally assembled as a selection from the first three test records (LPs) made using some of the earliest Opus 3 analogue masters. Test Record 1 was the first in a series based on the idea of testing a Hi Fi system's capacity for reproducing Depth of Image, while Test Record 2 dealt with the Timbre concept and Test Record 3 utilized musical Dynamics. These three music elements can be used in evaluating and testing the different components of a Hi Fi system. This collection is also an interesting sampler, based on the earlier Opus 3 titles.
The original A Selection of Test records 1,2 & 3, CD was discontinued over 2 years ago, but due to demand, it was repressed again over a year ago. Now it has been remastered direct from the original analogue tapes for SACD with the two great tracks added from other early Opus 3 recordings.
