Erik Westberg was born in 1956 in Stockholm. He studied conducting with Professor Eric Ericson at the Royal University College of Music, Stockholm, Sweden and among other appointments is a past conductor of the Oslo Philharmonic Choir, Norway, and the Y.M.C.A. Choir in Stockholm. Engagements for 1996 outside Sweden include guest conducting in Sao Paolo, Brazil and New South Wales, Australia. In 1992 he became the first choral conductor to receive the conducting scholarship of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music, and in 1993 he was awarded the Johannes Norrby Medal. Erik Westberg is Professor of Choral Conducting and Choral Singing at the Luleå University, School of Music in Piteå.

The Erik Westberg Vocal Ensemble was founded 1993 and consists of 16 voices. The members come from Norrbotten and Västerbotten in the far north of Sweden. The ensemble has successfully toured France (1994) and Brazil (1995) under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Silvia. In 1996 they performed in Finland, Island and even as far as Japan. They have given performances on Swedish Television and Swedish Radio.

Soprano saxophonist Anders Paulsson higher studies began at the age of 16, with his selection in 1978 for the soloist class of the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, where he took a Master of Fine Arts degree, majoring in music education. He spent another two years studying classical saxophone with Jean-Marie Londeix in Bordeaux, France, winning both the Gold and Silver Medals in the Concours Fin d'Année. He pursued further studies at the Manhattan School of Music, New York City, where he specialised in jazz improvisation and composition. Since 1986 he has given hundreds of concerts and taught soprano sax master classes in the USA, Brazil, Germany and Sweden. He has also made television and radio broadcasts in Israel and Britain, and has featured as guest soloist, for example, at the Aspen Music Festival, Spoleto, Gotland Chamber, Music by Siljan and the Carnegie Hall.

Mattias Wager was born in 1967 and grew up in Stockholm. He studied at the Royal University College of Music, Stockholm, where in 1992 he took his soloist's diploma and was awarded the Academy Medallion. His teachers were Torvald Torén and Anders Bondeman. He has also studied abroad, e.g. under Johannes Geffert in Bonn and Naji Hakim in Paris. Mattias Wager gives concert performances in Sweden and abroad and has made both gramophone and radio recordings. He teaches organ and improvisation at the Luleå University, School of Music.
