Stokowski conducts First Releases DE LISLE; SCHUBERT; LA MONACA; STOKOWSKI; FOSTER; HANDEL; STRAUSS; ... Many of Stokowski's 78rpm recordings languished in the vaults unreleased - until now. From his Philadelphia days comes a 'live' recording of a concert in which Stokowski exhorts the audience to sing La Marseillaise and Schubert's Serenade. With the NBC Symphony from 1941 he is heard in American composer Robert Kelly's atmospheric Sunset Reflections. |
