Mes plaisirs was recorded in February 2013 before a live audience at the Salle Louis-Fréchette in the Grand Théâtre de Québec. Marc Hervieux has chosen 12 love songs, including Lhymne à lamour (Edith Piaf), Ils saiment (Daniel Lavoie), and Et maintenant (Gilbert Bécaud). In December 2011, Marc Hervieux was awarded two Disques dor for A Napoli his CD of Italian songs and his first CD of Christmas songs, Le Premier Noël. Both recordings sold more than 40,000 copies each — an unprecedented success for a classical singer in Quebec. With his natural affinity for a wide variety of musical styles, Marc Hervieux has also collaborated with many popular Quebec artists including Ginette Reno, Gilles Vigneault, Yvon Deschamps, Isabelle Boulay, and Patsy Gallant. Marc Hervieux is frequently invited by the major Canadian opera companies to sing such roles as Rodolfo in La Bohème, Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, the Duke in Rigoletto, Hoffmann in Contes dHoffmann, Mario in La Tosca, Canio in I Pagliacci, Don Jose in Carmen, Roméo in Roméo et Juliette, and Alfredo in La Traviata. He will join soprano Lyne Fortin in Calgary Opera's production of La Traviata in April 2013.
