A Napoli Popular Italian Songs Marc Hervieux, tenor ACD2 2620 Following the great success of Le Premier Noël and Tenor Arias, tenor Marc Hervieux returns with A Napoli, his third ATMA CD, dedicated to Neapolitan songs, including Mattinata, Core'n grato, and Aprile.   Surrounded by 10 fantastic musicians such as pianist and arranger Louise-André Baril, violinist François Pilon, guitarist Daniel Bolshoy and flutist Marie-André Benny, Marc Hervieux delivers superb renditions of these favourite Italian songs. Internationally, Marc Hervieux has sung, among many other roles, Alfredo in Verdi's La Traviata at the Mariinski Theater for the Kirov Opera, in Israel with the New Israel Philharmonic, at the New Jersey Opera Festival, and at the Opéra de Nice; the Chevalier Des Grieux in Massenet's Manon at the Málaga Opera in Spain, and Rodolfo in La Bohème at Metz, France.   He has sung in Starmania and its symphonic version, Starmania Opéra, in Montreal (world premieres), Quebec City, Ottawa, Paris, and Seoul. Nationally, the major Canadian opera houses have invited Marc Hervieux to sing, among other roles, Rodolfo in La Bohème, Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Michel de Frobisher in Frobisher, the Duke in Rigoletto, Hoffmann in Les Contes d'Hoffmann, Mario in Tosca, Luigi in Il Tabarro, the chevalier de la Force in Dialogues des carmélites, the title role in Faust, and Don José in Carmen.   1.
