The International Forum for Young Composers was conceived and established by the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne. A biennial event, Forum was launched in iggi, organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Music of the University of Montreal as well as the SociW Radio-Canada, and sponsored by the International Music Council (UNESCO).

The present recording, the NEM's fifth Forum CD, is an opportunity to sample the best from a growing list of exciting young composers, and it contributes substantially to the vitality of new music by young composers on an international scale.
