Ensemble Caprice show by their simple melodic appeal, or their expressive scale Telemann's great stylistic range as he adapted his idiom to the times. Indeed, he helped shape the music of a new era. Alexander Weimann performs Fantaisies for the clavichord composed by Matthias Maute especially for this recording, which both serve as a transition between the duets and create a link to other sonatas for two instruments across the centuries. They are a homage to Georg Philipp Telemann.
