Springtime: "tous les matins du monde"
Jean-Jaques Van Vlasselaer.

The awakening of nature, a gentle breeze, an azure sky, delicate nights, pastel-coloured days, whispering trees, green branches, blue violets, nightingale's fervent love-songs, joyous swallows, playful larks, rays of hope: all images of spring. But we are not deluded: trees cast shade, the dew-blush on the violets are often tears, the nightingales may die young - as nature wakes, so it fades. Isn't it said that "one swallow does not spring make", all the more as one spring can hide another and that everything that begins must have an end?
